| Well, most of you know that I graduated in June with my Doctor of Nursing Practice. I obtained my Master's along the way. I am now a Doctorally Prepared Nurse Practitioner. What a mouthful. Just means I can take care of common medical problems from birth to death-among a few other things. I have never been so excited. I told my self that I was going to enjoy every last celebration that I could. So here is a pictorial journey of my graduation month celebrations. I have not been the recipient of so much love and accolade. It was humbling. So thank you to all of my loved ones and friends. You are amazing:-)I started with a celebration for graduates at my church which was awesome! Nursing Convocation that Friday morning, Brunch with about 30 of my family and closest friends at a Madison Park cafe, African American Graduation that Friday evening, Commencement on Saturday, and a party with my graduating Family Nurse Practitioner classmates at a local bar. I wrapped the back end up with a beautiful send off from my bible study group the following week. I was determined to enjoy the moment and I did:-) Convocation brought me to tears and Commencement was a sight to behold in the new stadium. African American graduation was inspiring and the love of my friends and family helped to usher me into the next phase of my life...literally. |
